Product Announcement: Humanity’s New Messaging System
After introducing our new messaging system to Humanity last May, we’ve received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback regarding the changes.
Now it’s time to officially say “hello” to the new messaging system and “goodbye” to the old one for good.
This change is scheduled to take effect next week (June 15). Here’s what you need to know about it.
The new messaging system will be automatically enabled for all users. This essentially means that you will no longer have the option of choosing whether you want to enable the new messaging system or stick with the old one. Everyone is going to have the new one enabled on their accounts.
Here’s what it looks like now in your account. You have the option of using the new messaging system (Messaging Beta*) or the old one (Inbox).
A week from now, it will look like this:
However, you’re still going to be able to read all of the past messages you have sent and received using the old system.
Once you click to enter the new messaging system, you will see a link that you can click on to view all you old messages.
Clicking on that link takes you to your old Inbox. You will be able to read or delete old messages, but you will not be able to send new messages or reply to old ones from here.
If you want to send a new message, you are going to have to use the new messaging system.
That’s pretty much this gist of it.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding these changes.
Happy Scheduling!
